We are also working with the client on deploying the latest iBeacon Technology by Apple in the application. iBeacon is Apple's brand of technology for data transfer between devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE or Bluetooth Smart). iBeacon technology gives us a new platform to produce, design and innovate and takes us a step closer to next generation retailing.
Essentially, what iBeacon does is that it lets smartphone users know about the presence of businesses or retail shops in their vicinity by sending push notifications through Bluetooth. With the right marketing strategy and software, this can be used for promotion in a big way.
